Basketball was Christy’s outlet and is a passion that afforded her the opportunity to travel the country and compete with the best. This is where her dreams began. In 1998 and 1999, Christy played an integral role on the Laurens High School 58-0, nationally ranked, back to back, state championship teams. She also would go on to graduate in the Top 10 of her class and was later inducted into the Laurens Hall of Fame. She was blessed to receive a 4-year basketball scholarship at Western Carolina University. As a Catamount, she holds season & amp; career steals records, is 2nd on the assists list, was an Arthur Ashe, Jr. sports scholar award recipient, and graduated magna cum laude. Christy is currently a committee member of P.E.A.R.L.S where she works along-side her sisters in Christ to assist pre-teen and teen girls in building relationships, enhancing life skills, and providing service.

Christy is the proud mother of son, Jordan Woodruff and daughter, Jayden Workman. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching movies, and volunteering in the community. Her motto is too “in joy” life moment by moment one day at a time. And she quotes, “My best story is God’s story. Without Him, there is no me. He gets all the glory.”
